Adelaide Oval Flash Banner

Westminster School is an Early Learning to Year 12, co-educational, Uniting Church, day and boarding School. Around 1200 students attend our School. Westminster is set on 23 spacious hectares in Marion, a suburb southwest of the City of Adelaide. Since it was established in 1961, Westminster has become one of South Australia.

Westminster School was undertaking a program to expand its online presence, exploring and implementing new and improved ways to communicate with the many segments of its Community. Sono Advertising was commissioned to create an Environmental Flash Banner appearing throughout the AFL season for all Adelaide Crows home games.

The brief was to create a Environmental Flash Banner that was inline with Westminster’s Corporate Brand and memorable.

Solution

The Design Strategy was to create a high impact, dynamic Flash Banner that captures attention through sophisticated movement, fades & effects.

Screen 1 incorporates the School Crest & Logotype. Glow effects catch and direct the viewers’ eye to each Logo. The Wyvern is utilised as the background to allow for subtle movement keeping the banner from remaining static.

Focus is drawn to the centre of the banner through glow fade-outs and the message ‘Every Opportunity’, fades-in and enlarges. The School crest and name remain on either side of the banner to maximise attention and create brand awareness regardless of camera angle etc.

The final screen will enlarge and fade the wording ‘Every opportunity’. Rather than have the words shrink to fade or scroll off screen. This method of ‘enlargement’ has been chosen to positively appeal subliminally, showing ‘no end’ to the opportunities Westminster provides.
